| Clinics for New Players |
| Softball can be a fun and rewarding endeavor and a means of meeting a multitude of new friends. We welcome people from all skill levels to come out and be a part of our family. Twice a year, before each season, we hold clinics for new players. Primarily, these clinics allow us to evaluate a new player's skill level so that the player can be placed in the appropriate league softball division. This becomes the primary tool for initial membership into our league. We have several experienced softball players and coaches helping the inexperienced clinic participants. The GLASA clinics are normally held between August and November for the winter league and January and February for the summer season. The clinics run 3-4 weeks, and new players are encouraged to attend as many sessions as they can or until they are placed on a team. Coaches are contacted in an attempt to place all the candidates on existing teams, or often, new teams are created from the clinic participants. |
